Aztec Achievement Award - Brian Escobar-Santos

One weekly award recipient is selected for this honor by their school principal and entire Alta Vista faculty. While the qualities of every recipient vary, all demonstrate a positive work ethic, moral character and an appreciation for our community’s diversity.

In the words of our Alta Vista teachers, Brian has been awarded the Aztec Achievement Award for the following outstanding values and characteristics:

(Ms. Estrada) Brian has shown some improvement this year. He is a lot more focused in class and has been trying to complete more assignments with consistency. I'd like to see Brian continue to challenge himself academically and to show what he is truly capable of.

(Ms. Lewis) Brian is a student who consistently works hard to achieve his goal, day in and day out.  Last year, he told me his goal was to finish the math course he was in, and each day he came in and worked hard to achieve it.  This year, he said that he is going to finish all his math by April.  I know that, with his dedication, he will get this done.  Brian, I am so proud of you and the student you are.

(Mr. Luy) Brian has demonstrated noticeable growth in maturity and responsibility. He has become more focused during class and has shown a positive willingness to encourage his peers to stay on task.

(Mr. Phillips) I miss having Brian in my English class.  He’s clever and creative.  He takes responsibility for himself.  He looks out for his friends and helps them out.  Go Brian!

(Mr. Stevens) Brian is great in supervised study.  Brian works bell to bell and completes as much work as possible during a modified period.

Congratulations, Brian, and family! We are very proud of your accomplishments at Alta Vista High School!
