Alta Vista Updates - Sept. 4, 2026

Posted Date: 09/04/26 (06:48 PM)

Reminder: we return from Labor Day Holiday Weekend on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 9am.

Thank you for coming to AVHS Back to School Night! We toured each classroom and met all our staff, and learned more about resources for our families, as well as how tracking and grades work at AVHS. If you have questions, please always reach out! We are here to help.

How do grades and Honor Roll work at AVHS? What are the community resources available to my family at AVHS? See more information from our September Advisory Assembly here.

Congratulations to Nayeli for winning the “Alta Dollar” art design contest, and thank you to all our designers who entered. The schoolwide vote was very close, but her design was selected for use this year, with Alta Dollars to be redeemed weekly on Fridays after school (including today). Nayeli will be awarded a delivery lunch of her choice!

September is here! Check September’s activity calendar (also posted outside the Aztec Lounge, Rm. 4) to see lunch activities happening, as well as Mentor Tutor Connection, Leadership and Serenity Garden meeting dates.

Sixth Period Starts Next week - both assignments and opt-in activities. Ask your advisor or teachers for more details!

Field trip forms will be available next week for seniors and possible juniors for the SFSU visit. Be on the lookout!

Please turn in your signed bus passes, AVHS guidelines and other important forms from the first week of school. Visit the office for copies, if needed.
