Dear MVLA Community,

On Wednesday, May 6, we informed the MVLA community about a cybersecurity event involving Canvas Learning Management System.  [Link to Post]  
We followed this up with a second message on Monday, May 11, with incident updates and specific tips for keeping accounts safe. [Link to Post]

We recently received information from Canvas, confirming that MVLA data was not part of the cybersecurity event/data breach. While this is great news, we encourage all end users to follow safe practices while online. This starts with having strong passwords, not sharing passwords, and carefully evaluating emails and other information you receive. Be extra careful when opening emails and clicking on links/attachments, especially if you do not know the sender or the message looks suspicious.
