Aztec Achievement Award - Jesus Madrigal-Medina

April 27, 2026

In the words of our Alta Vista teachers, Jesus has been awarded the Aztec Achievement Award for the following outstanding values and characteristics:

(Ms. Estrada) Jesus is an all around fun student to be around. He has an interesting humor and has great reactions to the everyday routines of class. Overall, you can tell he tries his best to be here consistently and to stay on top of his work. He also has stuck with his commitment to SVCTE, which shows responsibility and determination on his end.

(Ms. Lewis) Jesus, it has been awesome to see your growth this year.  Your pursuit to be better in your classes here on campus and at SVCTE has been nothing but amazing.  You have truly shown what it means to put your education first, and I can't wait to continue to see your growth.  Keep up the good work.

(Mr. Luy) Jesus has demonstrated tremendous growth in maturity, particularly in his self-advocacy. His strong attendance supports consistent engagement and allows him to build positive relationships with both peers and teachers. He actively participates in class and contributes to a supportive and welcoming classroom environment.

(Mr. V) While I do not have Jesus for any classes, I can see how much Jesus has grown over the past year. Jesus arrives at school focused, motivated, and eager to seize the day. I can see how committed Jesus is to his education and his future by his attendance and his attitude at school. Keep working hard, Jesus! You have a bright future.

(Ms. Wallace) Jesus has been doing a great job in the Electric Vehicle program at SVCTE. I'm so proud of him for his nearly perfect attendance, and completion of certificates. He is always fun to talk to in the mornings before he heads off campus to go to SVCTE.

Congratulations, Jesus, and family! We are very proud of your accomplishments at Alta Vista High School!
